Vivo V30e – 128 GB storage and 5500 mAh Battery

Vivo V30e : The midrange smartphone segment in India is bustling with competition, and Vivo’s new offering, the Vivo V30e, promises to make a mark with a combination of attractive design, dependable performance, and camera features for casual users as well as content creators.

With a price tag of around ₹27,000, the V30e delivers a slick experience without pretending to be a flagship — and that may just be its greatest strength.

So, what does this fashionable midranger have to offer? Let’s take a closer look.

Design & Build: Classy and Premium

Vivo has always put a focus on attractive phones and the V30e is no different. The phone is slender, featherlight, and its glass back provides it its premium touch. It feels good to hold with the subtle gradient finish and curved edges.

The V30e doesn’t shout at passers by in the way that some similarly priced phones in ‘girls’ colours like Velvet Red and Silky Purple, but it’s distinctive. And that big camera ring at the back looks different and kind of nice.

The device looks like the kind of thing you have to handle very carefully, but its robust build quality belies this, and it even comes with dust and splash resistance in both IP64 certified too, which isn’t all that common at this price.

Display: AMOLED Brilliance

Display The V30e comes with 6.78 inches full HD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate which makes you interactivity smooth and visuals crisp. From watching reels to gaming (or if you’re just scrolling through articles), the color reproduction and brightness levels are great.

It’s also curved at the sides, which I think already adds that premium touch some folks are lookin’ for. The screen is still readable in direct sunlight and there is HDR support so content from Netflix and YouTube is enhanced. All in all, this is a display that punches above its weight.

Performance: Smooth Operator

The V30e also has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC under the hood that is accompanied by 8GB of RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of storage. There’s also support for virtual RAM expansion, so you can add an extra 8GB should you need it.

Day-to-day usage is fluid. Whether you are using the camera, light gaming, or multitasking with apps, the phone completes task without hiccups. It’s not built for hardcore gaming but casual games like BGMI and Asphalt 9 run fine on medium to high settings.

It runs on Funtouch OS 14 (based on Android 14) with a clean, responsive and modern interface. Vivo has cut the bloat, and the system animations are smooth and snappy.

Camera: Not Bad for the Price

The Vivo V30e is equipped with a 50MP Sony IMX882 main sensor and an 8MP wide-angle camera. Daytime shots are vibrant and sharp though, with natural-looking colors and very good dynamic range.

The phone also does quite well indoors, even with low light, thanks to the night mode on board.

Selfie addicts won’t be disappointed either. The 32MP front sensor takes sharp selfies with nice skin tones and background blur effects. Video recording maxes out at 4K for the rear and 1080p for the front, with good stabilization and clarity for vlogging or casual content recording.

Battery Life and Charging

The Vivo V30e runs on 5500mAh battery, that is slightly bigger than the rest of the competition. With light to moderate use, you should cruise through a day and a half. Heavy users might have 20–30% left at the end of the day, which is still impressive.

It is backed by 44W fast charging, which charges the phone from 0 to 70 per cent in just over 40 minutes. Although not the segment-quickest at 7.0 seconds, it’s quick enough for daily use.

Pros:

Simple, easy to wear and lightweight
Bright 120Hz AMOLED display
Reliable Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 power
Battery back up is very good with 5500mAh battery.
Sharp 50MP back, 32MP selfie cameras
IP64 (dust and splash-proof) seal.

Cons:

No stereo speakers
No 4K video recording on the front camera
Could have better ultra-wide lens
No wireless charging
Bloatware still here, but less of it

Vivo V30e Final Verdict

The Vivo V30e is an all-rounder and it does most of its things well—from the attractive design and AMOLED display to the excellent performance and cameras. However, if you want a phone that has a nice design, functions without any problems, and takes good pictures but does all of that at a price that doesn’t reach the stars, the V30 goodness is worth a closer look.
