Redmi A3 come with 5000mAh battery and high level Processor

Redmi A3 : Xiaomi has been leading the way in the budget smartphone segment in India and the Redmi A3 is its latest attempt at offering best of whatever it could produce for the least money possible.

Flash Note: If you are a first-time smartphone user or looking for a reliable backup phone, A3 ticks all the right boxes of design, basic performance and practicality on a daily basis — and that too without breaking your bank — all for under ₹7,000.

Design: Budget price; COMPACT COMFORTEnjoy quality performance in a comfortable, compact design.

Design & Build One of the surprising aspect about the Redmi A3 is the design. That’s far from the case with the A3 — which despite looking budget and plastic-covered from a distance, feels genuinely premium up close. The back panel has a glassish finish, while the round camera module does lend it a unique look that you don’t usually see on entry-level phones.

It’s light, the texture is easy to grip, and it comes in Olive Green, Midnight Black, and Lake Blue. The construction of this microphone overall is solid at this price point, and does not feel like a cheap in hand.

Display: Large and Functional

The Redmi A3 brings in a 6.71-inch HD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate – an uncommon sight at this price range. It’s not the sharpest or the most eye-popping screen out there, but it’ll do for watching videos, scrolling through social media and light browsing.

The 90Hz refresh rate means, you guessed it, that scrolling feels faster than you would expect. Brightness indoors is fine, but it takes a slight hit in direct sunlight. Still, for the price, it’s tough to grumble.

Performance: Good for All-Around Use

The Redmi A3 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G36 SoC, with 3GB and 4GB of RAM options and up to 128GB of internal storage. There’s even a microSD card slot, which can be used to add up to 1TB of extra storage — perfect for users who need to keep a lot of offline media on their device.

Daily performance is good enough for light tasks such as calling, texting, watching YouTube and using WhatsApp. Don’t count on heavy gaming or serious multitasking — the A3 isn’t made for that. But for everyday use, it stands up.

It’s powered by Android 13 (Go Edition), a lightweight version of the OS made for budget hardware. The interface is lean and free of bloatware, which helps in quick response.

Camera: Runs of the Mill, but Enough to Get It Done

The Redmi A3 supports 8MP main rear camera (0.08MP auxiliary lens, mostly for depth). In good lighting conditions, the camera produces fairly usable images with decent detail and color balance. This is not a phone for photo enthusiasts but is good enough for everyday memories.

There is a 5MP selfie camera (inside a waterdrop notch) at the front. For video calls and quick selfies, especially in daylight, it’s serviceable. Just don’t count on studio-quality portraits.

Battery Life: A Major Plus

The Redmi A3’s biggest strength is it’s 5000mAh battery, which can comfortably last for a whole day of moderate to heavy usage. Whether you’re watching videos, texting or listening to music, this phone will not die on you fast.

Charging is done through a 10W charger in a USB Type-C port — again, not something you come across in this price bracket very often. It’s not super fast to charge, but it is acceptable given the battery size and price.

Pros:

FASHION DESIGN WITH GLASSISON FINISHED
Large 90Hz refresh rate screen
Long-lasting 5000mAh battery
Expandable storage up to 1TB
Clean Android Go experience
USB Type-C port

Cons:

Multitasking and gaming performance is low.
Average camera setup
Screen could be brighter in sunlight
No fingerprint scanner
Charging speed is slow

Redmi A3 Final Verdict

The Redmi A3 is a simple value phone and it does a lot more than what you’d expect it to. It’s not the phone you’d buy to impress a power user, but if what you’re after is a sleek and reliable phone for everyday use — whether that means calls, social media or YouTube — the A3 offers good bang for your buck. If you’re in the market for a solid starter phone that doesn’t cost a fortune, this one is worth considering.
