Uncontrolled growth of breast cells in breast cancer. There are different types of breast cancer. Cells in the breast that become cancerous cause breast cancer. Any part of the breast can be affected. The breast consists of three major parts:

• Ducts – A duct is a tube that carries milk to the nipple

It feels different from the surrounding breast tissue when there is a lump or thickening in the breast

Breasts that have changed in the size, shape, or appearance

A change to the breast skin, such as dimpling

An inverted nipple

A nipple or breast with skin that peels, scales, crusts, or flakes

It looks like the skin of an orange is reddened or pitted over your breasts

Causes of Breast Cancer

According to doctors, breast cancer occurs when a group of breast cells begins to divide abnormally. Your breast can produce cancer cells that spread to your lymph nodes or other parts of your body as these cells multiply more rapidly than healthy cells. If your breast develops cancer cells that spread to your lymph nodes or elsewhere in your body, you can develop an accumulating lump or mass.
